How did we build this project?

Project overview

A complete e-commerce solution built for MyWatchShop.bg, a Bulgarian online watch store offering original timepieces from leading global brands. The project was developed on the latest version of nopCommerce, customized to reflect the brand's clean, trust-focused identity and to support the specific requirements of selling watches and clocks online.

A fully custom theme was built from the ground up, giving the store a refined, modern look that puts the products in the spotlight. The platform was tailored to handle a structured catalog covering men's, women's, and kids' watches, as well as wall clocks and alarm clocks, while keeping the shopping experience simple and intuitive.

The homepage was designed as a true discovery hub, combining a hero banner introducing the new website, brand value propositions (order tracking, 14-day returns, anti-fraud guarantee, free shipping over €35, 10 years of online experience, safe browsing, and secure payments), and curated product blocks for each main category with toggles for "New" and "Best-Selling" items. A featured brands carousel highlights partnerships with established names like Q&Q, Casio, Orient, Guess, Timex, Sekonda, Lee Cooper, Accurist, Continental, Appella, George Klein, and Kappa.

The result is a modern, brand-rich online watch store that combines the flexibility of nopCommerce with a tailored customer experience — supporting MyWatchShop.bg's positioning as a trusted destination for original, guaranteed timepieces in Bulgaria.

The homepage serves as the main entry point to the online store, opening with a hero banner that introduces the new website and sets a refined, premium tone. A top navigation with a categories dropdown gives instant access to every section of the catalog, while a row of trust badges highlights key value propositions — order tracking, 14-day returns, anti-fraud guarantee, free shipping over €35, 10 years of online experience, safe browsing, and secure payments.

The main body is organized into dedicated blocks for each category (Men's, Women's, and Kids' Watches, Wall Clocks, Alarm Clocks), each featuring a lifestyle image and a curated selection of products with toggles for "New" and "Best-Selling" items. The page closes with an SEO-optimized brand introduction, a carousel of featured brands (Q&Q, Casio, Orient, Appella, Continental, George Klein, Kappa, Sekonda and others), and a comprehensive footer with account, information, customer service, and newsletter areas.

The catalog page is the main product discovery screen of the online store, presenting watches in a clean five-column grid with clear product images, names, and pricing. Each product card includes a quick "Buy" action and an "Add to favourites" option on hover, supporting fast add-to-cart behavior.

A comprehensive filter sidebar lets shoppers refine the catalog by manufacturer and a wide range of watch-specific attributes — altimeter, barometer, strap material (titanium, textile, ceramic), water resistance (5 bar, water resist, 10 bar), warranty, date, day-date, compass, case shape (rectangular, ellipse, square), strap/bracelet material (polymer, metal, leather), and case material (polymer, metal, steel) — a filtering system tailored specifically to the criteria that matter when choosing a watch.

The top of the page includes breadcrumbs, a category-specific heading, sort options, and results-per-page controls, while pagination at the bottom allows easy browsing through large collections. Below the product grid, an SEO-optimized informational section explains the category and offers buying guidance, turning the catalog page into both a shopping and educational resource.

A streamlined, single-page checkout that consolidates the entire purchase flow into one clear view, with a product summary at the top showing items, quantities, and prices. A quick login link for returning customers is available in the header.

Three parallel sections guide the customer through shipping details (with an optional invoice toggle), delivery method (Speedy office, address, or parcel locker), and payment (cash on delivery), while a persistent order summary on the right displays totals, a discount code field, and the "Complete Order" call-to-action — delivering a fast, transparent experience tailored to the Bulgarian e-commerce market.
