A modern e-commerce solution built for Unico.bg, a Bulgarian online fashion retailer specialized in plus-size clothing, footwear, and accessories for both women and men. The project was developed on the latest version of nopCommerce, customized to reflect a clean, body-positive brand identity that puts the customer at the center of the experience.

A fully custom theme was built from the ground up, with editorial-style photography, generous whitespace, and a refined typography system that gives the store an inclusive, fashion-forward feel. The platform was tailored to handle a structured catalog covering women's clothing, men's clothing, footwear, beauty, and accessories, with a strong emphasis on size-based discovery — a key need for the plus-size segment.

The homepage was designed as a true discovery hub, opening with a seasonal hero campaign and a prominent "Shop by size" selector covering the full S–7XL range, allowing customers to instantly filter the catalog to items available in their size. Below, curated blocks highlight Popular Categories (short-sleeve blouses, linen clothing, sleepwear, swimwear), New Arrivals, and Footwear, each with clear product cards displaying brand, size, body measurements, original and discounted prices, and "Outlet" or "New Collection" labels.

The result is a modern, inclusive online fashion store that combines the flexibility of nopCommerce with a tailored customer experience — supporting Unico.bg's mission to make stylish, well-fitting fashion accessible to every body shape and size in Bulgaria.

A standout "Shop by size" section gives customers instant access to every available size from S to 7XL — turning size into a primary navigation dimension, which is essential for a plus-size focused retailer. Below, curated blocks present Popular Categories with lifestyle imagery, New Arrivals with the latest products, and a dedicated Footwear section, each card showing brand, size, body measurements, pricing with discount badges, and quick "Add to cart" actions.

The page balances campaign storytelling, fast product discovery, and clear merchandising — guiding customers naturally from inspiration to purchase.

The catalog page is the main product discovery screen of the online store, presenting items in a clean four-column grid with editorial-style fashion photography. Each product card displays the brand, available size, body measurements, pricing with discount badges, and an "Outlet Collection" or "New Collection" label, along with quick "Add to cart" and "Add to favourites" actions.

A comprehensive filter sidebar lets shoppers refine the catalog by condition (new collections, new outlet products, second-hand items), size (XS to 6XL plus One Size), category (swimwear, lingerie, blouses, jumpsuits, homewear, jeans, vests, dresses, pants, skirts, sweaters, shirts, suits, sportswear, t-shirts, jackets), colour (with visual swatches), and season — a filtering system tailored specifically to the way customers shop for plus-size fashion.

A clear results count, sort options, and a grid/list view toggle complete the experience, allowing customers to browse a catalog of over 10,000 items with ease.

The site features a powerful smart search experience powered by Doofinder, providing customers with instant, AI-driven product discovery as they type. The search panel opens directly from the header search bar and presents results in a rich, visual format.

A "Top searches" column on the left highlights the most popular queries (brands, materials, product types), while a "Recently searched" tags section keeps the customer's previous searches one click away. The main area displays "Recommended products" as a horizontal carousel of product cards with images, names, prices, and discount badges — letting users browse and compare without ever leaving the search overlay.

The checkout is a single-page experience that consolidates the entire purchase flow into one clear view. On the left, customers fill in shipping details with support for personal addresses, Speedy courier offices, and Speedy parcel lockers — covering the most common delivery preferences in the Bulgarian market.

In the middle column, customers choose between standard and express delivery, and select a payment method (cash on delivery or online card payment via Borica). On the right, an order summary shows each product with stock status warnings, quantities, and totals, alongside a notes field, terms acceptance, discount code field, and a prominent "Place Order" call-to-action.

The result is a fast, transparent checkout tailored to the Bulgarian fashion e-commerce market — supporting local couriers, multiple payment methods, and a real-time stock check that protects customers from ordering unavailable items.
